Whats new?
- We have also posted a new working paper from a collaboration with Google and DeepMind. Where we examine the use of LLMs (using Gemini interaction data) and specialised models across science, using the MIT FutureTech Science Task Taxonomy---combined with a new survey of scientists on AI.
- We have posted our new working paper, "Scientific Work", joint with MIT FutureTech colleagues where we introduce the Science Task Taxonomy. A new task hierarchy for science that allows us to examine the production of science at the task level.
- I presented my new working paper, “The Division of Knowledge in Inventor Teams,” at the Fourth Retreat on Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Yosemite, which led to some very valuable spontaneous discussions while hiking around.
- Here we are excited to post the latest version of our working paper on how "Common Ownership Drives Automation"!
- We hosted a fantastic workshop on the Economics of AI and Automation here at FutureTech and posted a Substack on "What New Model Releases Do and Don't Tell Us" for important lessons learnt.
